APPLETON, WI — In the month of June 2009, more passengers passed through the terminal to use one of the four carriers offering flights from the airport than June 2008. A total 48,346 passengers used the airport this June compared to the 43,322 who used the airport in the same month last year. This accounts for a 11.6 percent increase in passengers. This is the fourth month in at row that ATW has reported an increase over last year. So far this year more than 259,798 passengers have passed through ATW which is a 3.03% increase over 2008. The increase continues to be propelled by growth on ATW carriers Delta/Northwest and United Airlines. The addition of Allegiant Air flights to Las Vegas and Orlando also continue to be popular. “We attribute this increase to more competitive airline pricing and a great passenger experience.” said airport director, Marty Lenss. About the Outagamie County Regional Airport Allegiant Air, Delta Connection, Midwest Express, and United Express, serve the growing Fox Cities market.
