SECURITY BADGING PROCESS

STEP 1: APPLICATION

  1. Download the security badging application.
  2. Complete the application.
    1. Be sure to fill out all sections highlighted in yellow.
    2. Make sure your companies Authorized Signatory signs Section III authorizing you to possess a security badge.
  3. Review the “List of Acceptable Documents” to ensure you possess the correct identification documents for your security badge.
    1. All documents must be current and unexpired.
    2. Documents must be original, no photocopies will be accepted.
  4. Bring the completed application and identification documents to your fingerprint appointment.
    1. If you do not require fingerprinting, bring your application and identification documents to airport administration.

STEP 2: FINGERPRINTING

  1. Call airport administration to schedule a fingerprint appointment.
    1. If you do not require fingerprinting, bring your application and identification documents to airport administration.
  2. Allow 15 minutes for fingerprinting.

STEP 3: BACKGROUND VERIFICATION

  1. Your paperwork will be submitted for a Security Threat Assessment (STA) and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
  2. The STA and CHRC typically take 3-5 business days to process.
  3. Airport badging employees will contact you once your paperwork has cleared.

STEP 4: TRAINING

  1. Once your paperwork has cleared, you will need to complete the appropriate training for your employment.
    1. Training will need to be scheduled with airport administration.
    2. Training is held in the airport administration office.
    3. Allow 30 minutes for training.
  2. If your employment requires you to operate motor vehicles on the airfield you will need to schedule airfield driver’s training with airport administration at this time.
    1. Airfield driver’s training is held in airport administration.
    2. Allow 30 minutes for training.

STEP 5: BADGING

  1. Once you have completed training your photo will be taken and you will be given your security badge.
  2. Your badge will be given access to required areas based upon your employer.

BADGE RENEWAL

  1. Badges are issued with a two year expiration date.
  2. Badges are not valid past their expiration date and will need to be renewed one month prior to their expiration.
  3. You will need to bring in your expiring badge plus acceptable identification documents to renew your badge.

LOST OR STOLEN SECURITY BADGES

Lost or stolen security badges must be reported to the airport immediately. To report lost or stolen badges call Airport Public Safety at 920.832.1633.

RENEWAL BADGE $ 10
REPLACEMENT BADGE $ 25
FINGERPRINTING $ 35

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. The Authorized Signatory is your company’s representative who sponsors individuals and requests airport identification media for them.
  2. If your employment is terminated or you no longer require a security badge you are required to return your badge to the airport immediately.
  3. Depending on your employer you may or may not require fingerprinting as part of the badge process. If you have questions please contact the security badging office.
